There are a large range of things to see and do in the area; Dunrobin castle lies only six miles away with the Clynelish Malt Whisky Distillery close by and open to visitors.

Also nearby are the River Helmsdale and the River Brora, both famous for their high quality salmon and wild brown trout fishing; boats are available for hire from the Royal Marine Hotel for salmon and trout fishing on Loch Brora.
